Our Principal Message

I would like to begin with a short anecdote. The Sport star of 20th July, 1996, featured a story about a puny little girl who would get up at 5.00 am to begin her swimming practice.

She would practice for three hours in the morning before she would hurry up for the School. Again she would return to the pool for another two hours of solid swimming practice after her class. Her name was Janet Evans. She hailed from the United States of America. One day someone asked her why she followed such a disciplined schedule, and she replied, “My only aim is to make it for the Olympic team”.

At fourteen she made it to the Olympics in 1988. Again in 1992 and in 1996. She secured four gold medals in a single Olympic. She has not only beaten the best but also created many world records. Before reaching Atlanta she said, “What counts now isn’t winning or losing but being happy. And now when I am swimming, I am happy.
